Paediatric Staff Nurse (Skyline Department)
Cromwell Hospital – London SW5 0TU (5 mins walk from Earls Court or 7 mins walk from Gloucester Road).
Full time – 37.5 hours per week. Pay: up to £46,890 per annum depending on experience.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Paediatric Staff Nurse who will deliver high quality patient care in line with the hospital’s values and professional regulations. You will manage your workload efficiently, work as a supportive team player, and adhere to local and national policies, regulations, protocols, and guidelines.
What You’ll Do
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised quality patient care.
* Ensure nursing practice meets Cromwell Hospital policies, CQC requirements, and NMC standards.
* Supply and administer medication safely following hospital policy.
* Assess and support patients with medication adherence and understanding.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate care.
* Escalate concerns following the appropriate pathway.
* Report incidents, complaints, compliments, and near misses on the datix system using the SBAR approach.
* Respect people’s rights to privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
* Take on extra duties and responsibilities as delegated and work within your scope of practice.
* Keep clear and accurate records following NMC documentation standards.
What You’ll Bring
* NMC Registered – Registered Children’s Nurse (essential).
* Post‑registration experience.
* Mentorship course completed.
* Competent with venepuncture and PILS.
* Experience working in a Paediatric hospital.
* Ability to work well in a team and use your initiative.
* Professional communication skills.
