Rockbourne have been retained by a leading and fast-growing Private Equity business, specialising in Operational Real Estate, to appoint a Head of Asset Management to their growing London-based team. In this newly created leadership role, you’ll take full ownership of the asset management function, delivering value across a £2.0bn portfolio real estate spanning the UK. The role itself: Strategic Asset Management: Lead all asset management initiatives across the portfolio, with full accountability for performance. Set and execute property strategies in coordination with fund Portfolio Managers. Prepare and deliver annual asset management plans per fund, incorporating ESG and value optimisation. Conduct annual asset business plan reviews, including expand/hold/sell analysis. Lead life-cycle and extraordinary capex projects, disposals, and tenant transitions. Support pre-acquisition due diligence on operators, buildings, and developments. Operational Oversight: Coordinate internal and external teams - consultants, legal, PMs, and operating partners. Implement asset management systems, standardise reporting and data collection. Ensure compliance with lease terms, including capex obligations, financial covenants, and reporting. Track and report on third-party asset management plans and clinical/governance reviews. Conduct regular site visits to priority assets. Delivery: Support the delivery of new construction projects with external project managers. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with business plans. About you: 10 years of experience in asset management, ideally in a fund or private equity-backed platform. MRICS or equivalent preferred. Strong commercial and analytical skills: P&L, Cashflow, and balance sheet understanding Strong understanding of real estate operations and development. Familiarity with asset management software and strong analytical skills (Excel required). Detail-oriented, highly organised, and comfortable managing multiple projects. Clear and confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels. Operational real estate experience is required.
