Reports to: Head of Venue Sales / Head of Events
Location: The Truman Brewery, 15 Hanbury Street, London E1 6QR
Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm (flexibility required for evenings and weekends)
Role Overview
The Truman Brewery is looking for a Venue Sales Assistant to support our busy Venue Sales and Events operation. This is a hands-on role combining direct support of the sales team with administrative and order-processing responsibilities. You’ll help ensure incoming enquiries, bookings, and client deliverables are managed professionally and efficiently.
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-focused team player who communicates clearly, thrives under pressure, and enjoys working across multiple teams.
Duties Include
* Support the Venue Sales team with the processing of incoming enquiries and client proposals
* Help prepare and issue contracts, venue hire agreements and sales documentation
* Maintain and update CRM systems, schedules and venue booking calendars
* Draft and format presentations, pitches and venue information packs
* Process confirmed orders and assist with upsells and client requirements
* Liaise with clients to collect booking details and follow-up information
* Support internal handovers between the sales and operations teams
* Provide administrative support to the Head of Venue Sales and Head of Events
* Track and reconcile venue-related purchases with the Finance Department
* Help with travel bookings, meeting scheduling and note-taking
* Answer telephone and email enquiries and assist with FOH phone cover
* Assist with digital and physical file archiving and team errands
The Ideal Applicant Will Have
* A friendly, professional and proactive approach to admin and teamwork
* Experience in a sales or operations support role within events or hospitality (preferred)
* Good written communication skills for client emails, documentation and reports
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
* Confidence speaking with clients on the phone and in person
* A sense of responsibility and the ability to juggle tasks under pressure
* A collaborative attitude and willingness to help across departments
Terms Of Employment
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
Flexibility: Some evening or weekend work required (lieu days offered)
Trial Period: 6 months
Holiday
28 days total including bank holidays. Remainder to be spread evenly across the year following 3-month qualifying period.
