Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Secondary School
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Pay: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to become permanent)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a forward-thinking secondary school in the Wellingborough area who are seeking a dedicated and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their friendly and supportive team.
The Role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Deliver pre-planned lessons to whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
2. Support students across KS3 and KS4 with their academic progress and personal development
3. Lead small group interventions and targeted learning sessions
4. Work alongside teachers to plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons
5. Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (. proven classroom cover experience)
A solid understanding of the secondary curriculum
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A proactive, flexible and positive approach to supporting teaching and learning
A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind)
