AI Architect (Contract) Duration: Initial 6 months (with strong extension potential)
About the RoleWe’re working with a forward-thinking organisation looking to engage an experienced AI Architect on a contract basis to drive the design and delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions.This role is ideal for a highly skilled consultant who can operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, helping shape AI capability while delivering real, production-ready oues.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define and implement the AI architecture strategy and roadmap
2. Design scalable, secure, and high-performance AI/ML solutions
3. Translate business requirements into end-to-end AI architectures
4. Lead the design of data pipelines, model training environments, and deployment frameworks
5. Implement best practices for MLOps, CI/CD, and model life cycle management
6. Evaluate and rmend AI tools, platforms, and frameworks
7. Ensure alignment with dataernance, security, and regulatory requirements ( GDPR)
8. Collaborate with key stakeholders across data, engineering, and business teams
9. Provide technical leadership and architectural oversight across AI initiatives
Experience Required
10. Extensive experience (typically 8–12+ years) in technology, with a strong focus on AI, machine learning, and data architecture
11. Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions inplex environments
12. Experience defining and implementing AI architecture strategies and roadmaps
13. Strong hands-on experience building end-to-end AI systems (data pipelines, model development, deployment, monitoring)
14. Deep experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and cloud-native architecture
15. Strong background in data engineering and large-scale data platforms (, Spark, Databricks)
16. Experience implementing MLOps frameworks, including CI/CD and modelernance
17. Experience integrating AI into microservices, APIs, and enterprise systems
18. Exposure to advanced AI techniques such as NLP, deep learning, and Generative AI / LLMs
19. Strong understanding of AIernance, ethics, andpliance requirements
20. Proven ability to work in cross-functional, stakeholder-heavy environments
21. Experience in a senior or architect-level role, with strong technical leadership capability
Key Skills
22. Python (or similar programming languages)
23. TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar ML frameworks
24. Cloud AI services (Azure AI, AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform)
25. Data technologies (SQL/NoSQL, Spark, Databricks)
26. API and microservices architecture
27. DevOps / MLOps tooling
Desirable Experience
28. Experience with Generative AI solutions ( Azure OpenAI, GPT-based models)
29. Microsoft stack experience (Azure, Fabric, Synapse)
30. Previous consulting or contract experience in enterprise environments
