Purchasing and Planning Manager

£37k-£40k depending on experience, plus benefits
Are you a skilled procurement professional looking for your next challenge in a dynamic, international environment? We're looking for a Purchasing and Planning Manager to join our operations team and play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods across global supply chains.

What You'll Be Doing
Procurement & Supplier Management:
* Source and negotiate with suppliers across various regions.
* Build strong supplier relationships and ensure performance meets expectations.
* Secure the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
Inventory Planning:
* Forecast demand, collaborating with sales and operations teams.
* Monitor stock levels and turnover to maintain optimal inventory.
* Support production planning to ensure product availability.
Supply Chain Coordination:
* Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to manage inbound and outbound operations.
* Coordinate international shipping and customs processes.
* Ensure compliance with ISO9001:2015 standards.
Import Administration:
* Manage import logistics and documentation.
* Liaise with shipping companies and customs partners.
* Support the Import/Export Manager in maintaining smooth operations.
Process Improvement:
* Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing and planning activities.
* Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
* Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management-ideally in a distribution related environment.
* Strong supplier management skills.
* Familiarity with international procurement and shipping regulations.
* Proficiency in inventory and forecasting systems (Microsoft Navision or similar).
* Analytical, detail-oriented, and highly organised.
* Experience with import/export operations is a plus.
