Details
To provide Voice student leaders with support and improve the SU’s ability to represent students across the University. This could include:
* Facilitating student leadership within the Academic Rep system, working with our team to provide tools and training to achieve a fully student‑led system
* Improving our institutional knowledge of student issues, providing students with the resources to reimagine student education at a course, institution, and sector level
* Enhancing the Academic Rep system in line with student views, improving the ability of students to form communities, work with Officers, and advocate for change
* Providing “front of house” support to Academic Reps, acting as a first point of contact at meetings and via the Voice inbox, researching best‑practice across the Higher Education sector, working with SU Bath and our partners in the sector to build a best‑in‑sector system at Bath
* Supporting Academic Reps on a full range of projects, from resolving smaller and specific concerns to projects around sustainability, liberation, and student rights
* Working with Officers to identify trends and escalating issues within University structures, ensuring the Union can respond effectively to student concerns
* Representing your own views in meetings or consultations with the University, external partners and authorities

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail
* Enjoy working in a team but also happy to work independently
* Build positive relationships and work well with a variety of people
* Enjoy thinking creatively and coming up with new ideas
* Have an interest in the SU and the student experience

Location
This role will mostly be based in 1 East (Claverton Down campus) or other locations on campus, with the option to work from home for specific tasks by prior agreement with line manager.
