About the Role:
* Teach Business Studies and Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 3 depending on experience and interest.
* Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
* Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, simulations, guest speakers, and real-world examples, to bring Business Studies and Economics to life for students.
* Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
* Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Business Studies and Economics curricula remain relevant and challenging.
* Foster a love of business and economics in students, encouraging them to explore the world of commerce and develop their entrepreneurial skills.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in business and economics education.
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS or equivalent.
* Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Business Studies and Economics.
* Demonstrates a passion for teaching these subjects and a commitment to student success.
* Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
* Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment.
* Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Business Studies and Economics and relevant examination specifications.
* Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
