Joining the multi-disciplined team, you will provide hardware maintenance support working on varied process module types to ensure we continue to achieve our exacting standards. This role will involve the maintenance and preparation of Lab equipment for the running of Customer Samples and R&D projects for our Deposition Business Unit.
Working continual shift work is required alternating between early (6am – 2pm) and late shift (1.30pm – 9.30pm on a weekly basis) with some requirement for occasional weekend work and be based in our Manufacturing Headquarters in Newport, South Wales
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining the Demo lab equipment and configuring the modules to the requested Customer demo configuration.
2. Planning and coordinating parts to perform the required configuration
3. Supporting R&D Engineers for new part introductions
4. Solving problems on a priority basis
5. Assisting in the installation and start-up of new equipment
6. Providing Breathing Apparatus (BA) / Emergency Response Team (ERT) support
7. Follow safe operating practices in the clean room
8. As part of the Technician team, sharing responsibility for planning and completing safe work plans on sophisticated systems containing varied energy sources and toxic gases, together with the relevant risk as required
9. Contributing to the continual improvement of our already excellent safety record
10. Maintain records/documentation relating to work carried out and parts inventory.
11. Clear communication with a variety of stake holders at varying levels.
12. Implementing service and safety bulletins, procedures, reports and engineering drawings.

13. Is a multi-skilled Engineer with a good understanding of Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical systems
14. Is hands on and capable of evaluating and fault finding
15. Has experience of gas systems
16. Has shown safe working practices due to working in an exacting environment
17. Is experienced in following operating practices and procedures
18. Is willing to undertake Breathing Apparatus training
19. Can work to tight timescales in a highly regulated industry
20. Knowledge of similar semiconductor equipment would be an advantage, as would prior experience of electronic fault finding, RF test equipment and/or high Vacuum systems.

Minimum Qualifications
Has HNC or equivalent level qualification in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or similar relevant field. Candidates with previous Semiconductor experience preferred.
