What you will do: Carry out inspections of private sector housing to ensure compliance with housing legislation and health and safety standards. Identify and assess housing hazards using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS). Take enforcement action where necessary to address non-compliance and improve housing conditions. Manage housing compliance projects, including HMO licensing and related regulatory work. Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports to support enforcement activities and policy development. Work collaboratively with council departments and external stakeholders to promote safe and secure housing standards. Requirements: Experience in private sector housing enforcement and housing-related legislation. Strong knowledge of HHSRS and housing compliance procedures.
