Post Title: Specialist Physiotherapist
Location: Whyteman’s Brae Hospital, Kirkcaldy, Community Rehabilitation Team
Salary/Banding: Band 6
Hours: 1.0 WTE (36hrs)
An opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Team based in Whyteman’s Brae Hospital, Kirkcaldy.
You will be required to have NHS experience of working with adults, mainly older people, and assessment and treatment knowledge and skills associated with this patient group.
Patients are seen in their own homes, homely settings or as an outpatient.
The team focuses on community rehabilitation, preventing unnecessary admission, supporting earliest possible discharge from hospital and enabling patients to remain as independent as possible in their homes.
You will be required to have a degree in Physiotherapy, be registered with the HCPC, evidence of continuous professional development appropriate for Band 6, evidence of audit and service development involvement, and experience supervising junior staff for Band 6.
There may be occasions where you will need to work at other community hospital sites. Our service offers regular supervision, PDP, and training opportunities. The ability to travel throughout the area is essential as part of this post, which is community based. Public holiday working is required (accepting Christmas Day and New Year’s Day).
