Tech: PHP (Laravel framework), MySQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript
We are working with a client in the financial sector based in Manchester that is seeking an experienced Contract PHP Developer to support the development and optimisation of both internal systems and customer-facing web platforms.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead development and refactoring of the company's main website to align with modern standards and best practices
2. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
3. Enhance and extend the customer dashboard, improving usability, performance, and data presentation
4. Integrate third-party APIs to streamline workflows and support new financial services functionality
5. Work closely with designers and front-end developers to ensure seamless UI/UX integration
6. Contribute to code reviews, ensuring quality, maintainability, and security across all deliverables
Requirements:
7. Strong experience with PHP and Laravel
8. Solid understanding of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS); experience with JS frameworks is a plus
9. Comfortable working in fast-paced, regulated environments
10. Previous experience in the financial services sector is highly desirable
