The Physics Department
Physics is a high-profile and immensely popular subject within our school. The department is located within a purpose-built Science Centre, featuring dedicated Physics laboratories that are equipped with advanced apparatus—ranging from air tracks and digital oscilloscopes to specialized equipment for exploring quantum phenomena and astrophysics.
You will join a collaborative team of specialist physicists and expert technicians who are dedicated to "learning by doing." The department has a long-standing record of success at GCSE and A-Level, with many students participating in the British Physics Olympiad. We offer a supportive environment where staff are encouraged to innovate with their teaching methods and contribute to a curriculum that is both stretching and accessible to all pupils.
