At Nescot, we are recruiting for a Full-Time or Part time term time only (37 weeks) Departmental Learning Support Assistant.
What we are looking for:
1. A clear understanding and empathy of Special Educational Needs
2. Experience as an LSAs or TAs and looking for their next career move
3. Enthusiasm and committed to helping students develop
4. Great administrative skills
5. Excellent communication skills
6. Ability to work well in a team and independently
Duties and Responsibilities:
7. Provide stability, support and encouragement for students
8. Monitor student’s progress towards their EHCP outcomes
9. Conduct Educational Healthcare Plan (EHCP) annual reviews (full training will be provided)
10. Provide assistance to students in the classroom and around the college
11. Act as an advocate for students
12. Participate in meetings
