* Salary: Up to £64,000, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience

Role Purpose
This role is based within the Corporate Systems department, part of the Technology and Media Operations division. The team focuses on project management, product management and business analysis, delivering technology projects, continuous improvement and technical support for systems and applications used across the BBC group.
Key Responsibilities and Impact
* Stakeholder Collaboration & Relationship Building: Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, confirm priorities and build strong relationships to enhance domain knowledge and team collaboration.
* Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Accurately capture and articulate user and business requirements (functional, non‑functional, technical) ensuring they are valid, traceable and support solution delivery.
* Cross‑Functional Team Engagement: Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to ensure clarity and alignment on proposed changes and their rationale.
* Strategic Advice & Option Analysis: Provide strategic input and evaluate technical options using research and insights to inform short‑ and long‑term business decisions.
* Process & System Analysis: Maintain knowledge of existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
* Risk & Transition Management: Identify business risks and impacts, develop mitigation plans and support smooth transitions through handovers and early life support.
* Benefits Realisation & Performance Tracking: Define and map business benefits, establish performance measures and track progress against targets to demonstrate value.
Interview Process
* Technical task for shortlisted candidates – approx. one hour to read and complete an exercise.
* Virtual interview – approx. one hour of technical and values‑based questions.
Essential Criteria – Skills & Experience
* Lead discovery activities to establish objectives, scope, risks, benefits and impacts, enabling accurate sizing and prioritisation of programmes, projects or BAU initiatives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment with business needs and strategic goals.
* Capture, analyse and validate business requirements (functional, non‑functional, technical and general), ensuring they are traceable and contribute to business cases and project/solution delivery.
* Advise on strategic options and technical solutions, leveraging research and domain knowledge to inform business decisions, uncover opportunities for improvement and support long‑term planning.
* Define and track business benefits, establish performance measures and ensure value delivery through benefits mapping and progress reporting.
Desirable
* Commercial focus with proven influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills at all levels.
* Experience in a media or similar multinational organisation.
* Experience leading change initiatives at programme level.
