Electrician
Location: Around Norwich
Salary: £39,140 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
DBS: Basic Disclosure required
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a qualified Electrician to carry out electrical maintenance and improvement works across residential properties in and around the Norwich area.
This is a permanent position offering stable, long-term work within domestic properties.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Undertake all electrical works including maintenance, modernisation, improvements and remedial works across properties.
Complete rewires, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, wiring, connection and commissioning of heating fuel systems.
Ensure all jobs are correctly closed down via a mobile device upon completion.
Take responsibility for company equipment including van stock, tools, vehicle and materials.
Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota as required.
Maintain high safety standards to ensure the security of tenants and properties.
Work in both occupied and void properties, including confined spaces such as roof voids.Essential Qualifications & Certification
Applicants must be able to provide evidence of:
ECS Gold Card
Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation
18th Edition BS7671:2018
AM2 qualification
City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395 equivalent) – Testing & Inspection
Recognised UK electrical qualifications such as:
C&G 2360 Levels 2 & 3 + NVQ Level 3
C&G 2330 Levels 2 & 3 + NVQ Level 3
Current JIB card (Approved Electrician status)For non-UK qualifications, applicants must meet UK industry equivalency standards including Ecctis Electrotechnical Skills Statement and AM2E/AM2ED assessment. Experience Required
Strong background in domestic electrical works
Experience in both occupied and unoccupied properties
Competence testing and inspecting domestic and commercial installations
Working knowledge of:
BS5839 Part 6:2019 (Domestic Fire Detection)
BS5266:2016 (Emergency Lighting)Skills & Attributes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines
Confident using mobile devices and digital job systems
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Full UK driving licence
