We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven National Account Manager to manage and grow key retail partnerships within the UK health and beauty sector. This role will be responsible for leading relationships with major national retailers including Holland & Barrett, Superdrug, Boots, and other strategic accounts.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering sales growth, executing joint business plans, and strengthening the brand’s presence across key retail channels. This position requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, relationship management, and commercial execution within the personal care or beauty category.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop relationships with key national retail accounts including Holland & Barrett, Superdrug, Boots, and other relevant partners.
* Deliver annual sales and profit targets across assigned accounts.
* Develop and implement joint business plans aligned with retailer strategies and company objectives.
* Identify opportunities to expand distribution, increase shelf presence, and drive promotional activity.
* Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, promotional plans, and annual trading terms.
* Work cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure effective account execution.
* Analyse sales performance, category trends, and retailer data to identify growth opportunities.
* Coordinate new product launches and ensure successful implementation within retail partners.
* Monitor competitor activity and market developments within the personal care and beauty sector.
* Prepare and present account performance reviews and strategic plans to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a National Account Manager or Senior Account Manager within FMCG, personal care, beauty, or health products.
* Demonstrated experience managing major UK retailers such as Boots, Superdrug, Holland & Barrett, or similar accounts.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Experience developing and delivering joint business plans with national retailers.
* Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret sales and market data.
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
* Experience within the personal care, cosmetics, wellness, or natural products category.
* Familiarity with retailer portals and sales data platforms such as Nielsen or IRI.
* Experience launching products into national retail chains.
