Eames are currently partnering with a global financial institution looking to hire a UK Payroll Lead to join their senior leadership team, on a 12 month contract basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to lead a large-scale function and drive transformation in a business that services over 50,000 UK-based employees. This role is ideal for a proven payroll leader with extensive experience running a UK payroll for a large corporation. This Head of Payroll position will be based in their Northampton SCC three days a week, Monday, Tuesday and Friday. Key responsibilities: Own and deliver the monthly UK payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing payroll team with clear succession plans Partner with transformation teams to drive continuous improvement and change implementation Serve as the senior escalation point for complex issues and ensure timely resolution Advise senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals Maintain strong risk controls and meet regulatory requirements Key Requirements: Extensive experience in large-scale UK payroll, ideally in Financial Services Proven team leadership experience with ability to coach, develop and retain talent CIPP Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior leadership level Experience managing transformation or change projects from concept to implementation Offer: £75-£90,000 (DEO) 12mth FTC Private medical care Market leading benefits Hybrid working: Monday, Tuesday, Friday in the office
