Base pay range
As a key technical contributor, the Maintenance Process Engineer will support both maintenance activities and process development initiatives on the shopfloor. This hands‑on role is ideal for an ambitious engineer looking to grow into a senior engineering leadership position by progressively taking on greater responsibility in asset reliability, process optimisation, and operational improvement. This opportunity is with a large multi‑national group within the industrial/manufacturing sector. They have multiple sites within the area but this role will be based exclusively from their Halifax plant.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance Support & Coordination – inspections, fault finding, repairs, including preventive and planned maintenance.
* Managing contractors.
* Process Development & Optimisation – lean implementation, standardisation, design of jigs/fixtures.
* Shop floor Optimisation & Equipment Projects – support the installation, commissioning, and integration of new or upgraded capital equipment.
* Assist project leads in implementing shopfloor layout changes linked to process improvements or new equipment introduction.
* Cross‑Functional Collaboration.
Profile
* Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes.
* Background in engineering or a related discipline.
* Experience in process improvement and equipment maintenance.
* Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
* Familiarity with health and safety standards in industrial environments.
* Effective problem‑solving and organisational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented setting.
