Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Mental Health or General/Adult-registered Nurses, or Social Workers to join the Community Drug and Alcohol Team (CDAT) team on thebeautifulIsland of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
The Team comprises a Band 7 Manager, five Band 6 Senior Practitioners and two Band 5 Practitioners and works primarily with people over the age of 18yr who have a problematic and harmful alcohol and/or drug dependence.
You will work as part of the CDAT Specialist Mental Health Services facilitating specialist assessment and interventions in a wide variety of settings.
The role includes managing the initial stages of medication induction and detoxing of individuals either as an in-patient or in the community.
You will provide multi-agency and multi-disciplinary links with the mental health and acute health services, including blood borne virus treatment and sexual health andsupporting in-reach into the States of Guernsey Prison Service.
