This is the job
This role is centred around providing strong project governance, structure, and oversight for a major property related programme. You’ll act as the central coordination point across multiple workstreams, ensuring that the project runs efficiently, stays aligned with strategic goals, and delivers the intended outcomes. It’s a role for someone who enjoys creating order, driving clarity, enabling progress, and supporting teams to deliver successfully.
What will I be doing?
* Establishing and maintaining a structured governing body for the project management, ensuring consistent and effective delivery
* Developing and maintaining a central repository to organise all project related information
* Ensuring the project meets the AA’s vision and goals by guiding the project from inception to successful completion
* Collaborating with the property finance partner to oversee and manage the project budget, ensuring financial accountability and control
* Monitoring progress against the project timeline, identifying and flagging risks, and ensuring all workstreams are progressing as planned
* Developing and maintaining a comprehensive project plan and RAID detailing tasks, timelines, milestones, and deliverables for various workstreams
* Facilitating clear and effective communication with all stakeholders and the AA Project Team to keep them informed of project progress, risks, and issues
* Attending Cat A/Cat B Progress Updates
* Attending weekly property progress meeting with Property Lead
* Leading weekly Workstream Progress Meetings and weekly Workstream calls and biweekly Workstream Accountability Calls
* Producing and circulating detailed notes from these meetings to ensure all team members are aware of key decisions and action items
* Preparing the SteerCo (Steering Committee) pack, a comprehensive document that provides updates on project status, risks, and other critical information for senior stakeholders
What do I need?
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a blend of strong organisational skills, clear communication, and the ability to build positive working relationships across multiple teams. Being a people person is essential — you’ll be engaging with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating discussions, and ensuring everyone stays aligned and informed.
You should have proven experience in project management or project governance, with the ability to create structure, maintain clear documentation, and confidently manage multiple workstreams at once. Strong reporting skills are key, as you'll be responsible for producing high-quality updates, meeting notes, and SteerCo packs that clearly communicate progress, risks, and decisions.
You’ll also need a proactive approach, attention to detail, and the confidence to identify issues early and escalate when needed. The ability to work collaboratively, stay calm under pressure, and maintain a solutions-focused mindset will be vital to ensuring the project stays on track and delivers its objectives.
