Job Title: Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to join the team on a Wednesday to Friday basis for the next term. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students in Upper Key Stage 2, fostering their academic progress and personal development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that align with the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
2. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated, supported, and valued.
3. Assessing students' progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
4. Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies, schemes of work, and assessment practices.
5. Establishing positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, maintaining open communication and fostering a sense of community within the school.
6. Implementing behaviour management strategies consistently and fairly, promoting a respectful and inclusive classroom culture.
7. Supporting the holistic development of students, including their social, emotional, and personal growth, through pastoral care and enrichment activities.
8. Engaging in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (ages 9-11) is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum.
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that values diversity and promotes respect for all.
* Organizational skills to effectively plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons and manage classroom resources.
* Understanding of and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Enhanced DBS check dated within the last 12 months. If you are on the update service, you could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process.
* Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
