Stephen James Consulting continue to work with one of their established charitable elderly care providers in the search for a strong Home Manager for a medium-sized residential and dementia care home based in Hertfordshire.
This is a key leadership role with full accountability for the day-to-day management, quality, and performance of a well-established residential and dementia service. The successful candidate will be a confident and values-led leader, capable of maintaining high standards, driving stability, and leading a committed care team.
Key Responsibilities:

Providing hands-on leadership for the day-to-day running of the home

Managing, developing and supporting the staff team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care
*
Ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations, legislation and internal governance frameworks
*
Maintaining inspection readiness and driving continuous improvement in quality outcomes
*
Building positive relationships with residents, families and external professionals
*
Ensuring the home operates effectively against quality, occupancy and operational targets
To be considered for this role, you will need:

2–3 years’ proven experience as a Home Manager within residential and/or dementia care
*
A strong track record of achieving and maintaining good CQC outcomes
*
Sound knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and care governance
*
Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and retain staff
*
A calm, organised and values-driven approach to service leadership
