Job Description Employment Solicitor Location : Leeds (office-based with hybrid options) Salary : £40,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience) Experience : Typically 1 to 3 years’ PQE (applications from all levels considered) Our client is looking to recruit an ambitious, commercially minded Employment Solicitor to join a busy and growing Employment team in Leeds. This is a great role for a solicitor who enjoys a mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work, values quality client service, and wants to build long-term relationships. You will support the Head of Department while also running your own matters from instruction through to conclusion. Flexible working is available, with part-time and hybrid options considered. The Role You can expect a varied workload, including: Advising employers and individuals on a broad range of employment law matters Managing matters from inception to completion, with a practical and commercial approach Supporting on Employment Tribunal proceedings, including advocacy where appropriate Drafting and negotiating employment contracts and settlement agreements Managing matters through ACAS early conciliation and Employment Tribunal processes Delivering tailored employment and HR advice, including on dismissals, redundancy, discrimination, disciplinary matters and grievances Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the firm Contributing to business development, client engagement and training sessions Ensuring compliance with AML requirements and internal procedures What We’re Looking For Essential: Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales or Chartered Legal Executive Experience managing an employment law caseload (contentious and or advisory) Confidence advising employer clients and handling tribunal-related work Strong drafting skills and attention to detail Commercial mindset with excellent client care Ability to manage deadlines and priorities in a busy environment Comfortable using Microsoft Office and case management systems What’s On Offer Salary banding of £40,000 to £55,000, depending on experience Full-time preferred (38.75 hours per week), with part-time and hybrid options considered Supportive and collaborative team environment Exposure to a broad range of employment work (contentious and non-contentious) Genuine opportunities for professional development and progression Modern, cloud-based systems designed to support flexible working and efficient file management Working Arrangements Full-time preferred (38.75 hours per week) Part-time and hybrid options considered Leeds Next Steps Apply online or send your CV to lee.hawthorne-finch@h-fts.com or call 0333 996 2882 for more information.
