Joining our team means making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families within a vibrant city.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAs a Social Worker in our Children in Care Team, you will:\n\nManage a diverse and complex caseload of children and young people in care.\n\nUndertake comprehensive assessments of needs, risks, and strengths, informing robust care plans.\n\nUndertake direct work with children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and acted upon.\n\nDevelop, implement, and review child-centred care plans, ensuring permanency and stability.\n\nCollaborate effectively with foster carers, residential providers, schools, health services, and other partner agencies.\n\nPrepare high-quality reports for Looked After Reviews, court proceedings, and other statutory meetings.\n\nParticipate in legal proceedings, presenting evidence and advocating for children's best interests.\n\nMaintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive case records in line with statutory requirements and local policies.\n\nAdhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the welfare of children is paramount.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For:\n\nA qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.\n\nMinimum 3 years post-qualifying experience in children's social work, specifically within a Children in Care or Looked After Children's team.\n\nDemonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, and policies pertaining to children in care (e.g., Children Act 1989/2004, Care Planning, Placement and Case Review (England) Regulations).\n\nProven ability to undertake complex assessments, formulate plans, and manage risk effectively.\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.\n\nStrong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a demanding caseload and meet statutory deadlines.\n\nA commitment to promoting the rights and welfare of children and young people.\n\nAbility to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.\n\nFull UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.\n\nHow to Apply:\n\nIf you are an experienced and dedicated Social Worker ready to take on this rewarding challenge, please submit your CV outlining your suitability for this role and your relevant experience to Fahmida Ahmed at .\n\nAlternatively, for an informal discussion about the role call (phone number removed) .\n\nRandstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
