Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a well established and growing accountancy practice based in Portsmouth (Port Solent) to recruit an Audit Manager. The Audit Manager will receive a salary of up to £70,000 plus attractive benefits including hybrid remote working!
Primary responsibilities;
1. Lead and manage audit assignments for a varied client portfolio
2. Plan, execute, and complete audits in line with relevant standards and deadlines
3. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 2-3 audit staff
4. Review audit work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance
5. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
6. Identify and communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly
7. Ensure compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards
8. Support partners with business development and client proposals where required
Key experience and attributes;
9. ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
10. Proven experience in audit within a practice environment
11. Experience managing audit engagements and supervising staff
12. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
14. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
15. Commercial awareness and client-focused approach
