Full time office-based roleOur client is looking for a full‑time Office Administrator / Customer Services professional to join a friendly team. This role offers the opportunity to develop into a more specialised function over time.
The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to support the smooth running of our customer service and operations function. You will be responsible for processing quotations, raising purchase orders, managing deliveries, and maintaining accurate records.
Key responsibilities include:
Processing customer quotations and purchase orders
Raising purchase orders via Sage (or similar system)
Managing delivery schedules and liaising with suppliers
Setting up new product references on Sage and Excel (including list prices, costs, and customer discounts)
Maintaining accurate documentation and internal records
Providing excellent customer service to contractors, suppliers, and internal teamsThis is a varied role that requires accuracy, organisation, and strong communication skills.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Strong IT skills, including confident use of Microsoft Office
Excellent Excel capability (formulas, data entry, accuracy)
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with customers and suppliers
High attention to detail
Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks
Good written and verbal communication skills
Confident, proactive, and committed to delivering high‑quality workDesirable:
Experience using Sage or a similar ERP/finance system
Previous experience in customer service, administration, or order processing
