Full-Time, Permanent, 42.5 hours per week Monday-Friday
Salary up to £38,760 (up to £45,000 OTE) – company van & fuel card
We provide tailored rapid-response and planned housing maintenance services to meet the needs of our client Exeter City Council. By focusing on what matters most to them, we deliver an exceptional service while helping to invest in the community within the City of Exeter.
About the Role:
The role is primarily for our planned works team, where you will be part of a team delivering high-quality kitchens and bathrooms exclusively for our client Exeter City Council's tenants. Also, as part of our close-knit electrical team, you may at times be asked to support reactive repairs and maintenance across ECC’s portfolio of properties, working from ‘job’ to ‘job’, on a planned route with a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks. Previous experience is beneficial, and you will need to be self-motivated (but with our full support) to excel in this role. An empathetic nature, with a desire to improve people's homes and living conditions, along with delivering high standards of work and service, are key attributes for the role.
Key Criteria:
* On-the-job experience
* Test and inspection
* 18th edition
* Social housing experience preferable
* Provide own hand tools
* Full UK clean driving licence
All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK; Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points.
Candidates should be aware that all roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before employment begins.

AM2E Assessment of Occupational Competence Electrotechnical - National Electrotechnical Training, Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS Level 3 - City & Guilds
