The Role:
As a Specialist Practitioner in our Changing Futures Specialist Team, you will contribute to Westminster's success by supporting young adults experiencing multiple disadvantages. The programme aims to improve outcomes related to homelessness, offending, substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, and other challenges. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing trauma-informed, compassionate support through practical assistance, advocacy, and therapeutic interventions, helping clients manage emotions and improve social inclusion.
You should be adaptable, preferably with a psychological framework background, and committed to client-centered decision-making. Experience in facilitating groups and workshops that promote wellbeing and social inclusion is essential.
About You:
You have experience working with young people (preferably aged 18-25) facing complex needs, including homelessness, offending, substance misuse, or mental health issues. You are skilled in risk management, relational work, and trauma awareness. You are confident working independently and with families, adopting a non-judgmental, curious approach to challenging behaviors. An understanding of safeguarding and creative problem-solving with limited resources is vital.
