We are looking for a Qualified CBT Therapist who is committed to supporting developing services as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills, and a keenness to be part of a busy and vibrant pathway. This is a great opportunity if you are keen to develop your skills in the Wiltshire Mental Health Support Team.
The Wiltshire MHST works with schools and colleges across the county, with bases in Melksham, Chippenham, Devizes, Westbury and Salisbury. As the service expands towards reaching the national goal of coverage for all school aged pupils, the service is also expanding the offer available to children and young people with identified mental health needs.
You will be working across education settings (primary schools, secondary schools and colleges) throughout Wiltshire, providing assessments and interventions to children and young people with mental health conditions including anxiety and low mood.
The MHST currently provides early, brief evidence-based interventions to promptly address emerging mental health needs of children and young people, and this role will expand the provision to include High Intensity CBT interventions.
* To work along side our multi-disciplinary team consisting of Senior clinicians/managers, Psychologists, Senior Wellbeing Practitioners, Education Mental Health Practitioners and supervisors.
* To deliver Formulation driven assessments and risk assessments of children and young people. Working collaboratively with CYP families/other agencies you will develop holistic plans of cares which are evidence based.
* To hold a clinical caseload of children and young people who require a CBT intervention. You will be joining our multi-disciplinary team and will also be expected to provide consultation/support to other members of the team to discuss possible CYP that may require a psychology intervention.
* To supervise trainee HI CBT Therapists. If you do not currently possess this qualification, we will enrol you on the supervision course at the earliest opportunity
