Hours: 40 hours per week (including weekend working)
Salary: £36,500 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience

We are seeking an experienced and committed Care Home Deputy Manager to join the leadership team at The Ridings, Banbury. This role is ideal for a Deputy Manager with a strong background in residential care, who is confident supporting the operational and clinical leadership of a care home for older people.

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Home Manager to support the effective day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care. You will play a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, embedding Anchor’s values, and creating a positive culture for residents, families and colleagues.

About You:

1. You will be an experienced Care Home Deputy Manager who leads with integrity, empathy and confidence, and who is passionate about delivering outstanding care. You will bring:
2. Proven experience in a Deputy Manager role within a residential care home
3. A strong understanding of the needs of older people and person-centred care delivery
4. Sound knowledge of CQC fundamental standards, inspections and regulatory compliance
5. Demonstrable experience of safeguarding vulnerable adults, including local and national policies
6. Confidence in supporting the Home Manager and deputising in their absence
7. Strong people management skills, including supervising, coaching and developing colleagues
8. Experience of audits, quality monitoring and driving continuous improvement
9. Good knowledge of health & safety legislation, medication management and infection prevention and control
10. Experience managing rotas, staffing levels and skill mix to meet residents’ needs
11. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
12. Confidence using IT systems to maintain accurate, confidential records
13. A resilient, adaptable approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure
14. A genuine passion for improving the lives of older people

The Ridings is a well-established Anchor care home in Banbury, known for its warm atmosphere and strong sense of community. The home focuses on supporting residents to live later life their way, encouraging independence while delivering care that is compassionate, respectful and tailored to individual needs. Strong relationships between residents, families and colleagues sit at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for someone who shares Anchor’s commitment to putting residents first. You will be customer-focused, quality-driven and detail-oriented, supporting the home to deliver consistently high standards of care and experience.
