AWE is recruiting professionals with expertise in Eddy Current Testing (ET) within Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). We welcome candidates from aerospace, oil and gas, nuclear, rail, and military sectors, especially those with an engineering background.
Applicants should be certified as Level 2 and Level 3 in ET (EN4179 / PCN / SNT / ASNT / NAS410). If you are a subject matter expert in eddy current testing but lack certification, we are still interested in your application.
Training will be provided, along with career progression opportunities supporting NDT qualifications. Our inspections include manual and automated scanning using various coil types, including array systems. If these areas interest you or you wish to learn more, we encourage your application.
This role involves hands-on testing of warhead products, inspecting, developing, and innovating inspection techniques, and advising on capabilities suitable for nuclear warhead inspections. You will work with a team of professionals committed to personal growth and excellence.
Duties include:
* Advising customers on suitable NDT techniques for inspection.
* Developing and implementing Eddy Current techniques and work instructions.
* Supporting Safe Systems of Work related to NDT activities.
* Producing or supporting technical assessments.
* Collaborating with the team, stakeholders, and other functions to improve inspection techniques.
* Meeting deadlines and targets.
* Engaging in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance NDT certifications.
