Are you a Psychology graduate with a passion for supporting young people with special educational needs? Looking to gain practical experience in a school before pursuing a career in mental health, education, or therapy?
We are recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and well-resourced boys secondary school in Barnet, supporting students aged 1418 with Autism, ADHD, and a range of additional learning needs.
In this role, youll work closely with students across GCSE and A-Level stages, providing both in-class and 1:1 support to ensure each student can engage with the curriculum and develop confidence in their learning. Youll play a crucial role in promoting inclusion, emotional regulation, and academic progress.
Youll join a highly experienced SEND team, including other psychology graduates and a qualified SENCo with a therapeutic background, who will offer structured guidance and mentorship throughout the academic year.
? Were looking for:
A First-Class or high 2:1 degree in Psychology (or a related subject)
A genuine interest in SEN, adolescent development, and education
Patience, empathy, and resilience particularly when supporting young people with complex needs
A full academic years commitment (term-time only) from September 2025 to July 2026
