We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected independent healthcare provider for a Director of Clinical Services to lead a specialist mental health and complex needs service in Leeds. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking team during a period of exciting development. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping clinical strategy, driving quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of compassionate, patient-centred care. About the Service This standalone high-dependency rehabilitation hospital supports adults with complex mental health conditions, personality disorders, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and gender identity needs. The service is split across two wards, including bespoke therapeutic apartments and a male ward. The goal? To empower individuals to build resilience, develop life skills, and transition successfully into the community. Your Role as Director of Clinical Services Provide strategic and operational leadership across nursing and therapy teams. Ensure the highest standards of clinical care, safety, and compliance. Lead quality improvement initiatives and performance management. Build strong relationships with external stakeholders and regulatory bodies. Champion a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous development. What We’re Looking For NMC or HCPC registration (essential). Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Ward Manager or equivalent in mental health. Proven leadership in clinical operations and budget management. Strong understanding of statutory regulations and safeguarding. A proactive, forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation. Excellent communication, people management, and decision-making skills. Desirable: Post-registration qualification and professional accreditation. Experience in leading quality initiatives and service transformation.
