About the role
We're seeking an experienced and driven Drainage Manager to lead the delivery of drainage-related works across a major highways contract, including capital projects, a risk-based cleansing programme, and reactive maintenance.
What you'll be doing
* Oversee end-to-end delivery of drainage capital works and core programmes.
* Lead a multidisciplinary team of project managers, designers, and supervisors.
* Manage client relationships and ensure stakeholder engagement.
* Drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across drainage operations.
* Ensure compliance with KPIs, budgets, and NEC contract processes.
Who we're looking for
* Proven project management experience in drainage or highways.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
* Financial and commercial acumen, with a focus on value and performance.
* Full UK driving licence and proficiency in MS Office.
Desirable:
* Chartered Civil Engineer status.
* Experience managing tender processes and subcontractors.
* Line management experience.
