Job Description
Financial Analyst required for 12 months for a long-established world leading employer based in the Southampton area.Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the tracking and posting of Accruals and Prepayments as part of the month-end close process.
* Collaborate with project managers on assets under construction to ensure accurate accounting entries are made.
* Post other month-end general ledger entries, including asset additions, depreciation, and disposals.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure consistency with sub-ledgers.
* Provide support during financial audits and assist with auditor queries.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial controls and procedures.
* Advise and educate stakeholders across the organization to ensure adherence to financial policies.
* Work closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
* Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
* Assist in the planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to align with organizational goals.
Required Experience and Skills:
* Proficient in advanced Excel functions.
* Ability to work independently while being an effective team player.
* ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is preferred; however, candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
* Experience with Microsoft D365 is desirable but not essential.
* Familiarity with reporting solutions such as Power BI is a plus.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
