What is the job role?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist in our Newly Developed One Coventry Integrated Teams. Local Integrated Teams are being built around localities to coordinate an urgent response, tailored to the needs of our people. The teams will be responsible for responding to critical needs in the community, supporting discharge from the hospital and providing short‑term rehabilitation services. As no two cases are the same, you’ll enjoy a diverse caseload and have the opportunity to stretch your therapy skills. You will set agreed goals and devise comprehensive intervention plans, using clinical reasoning and utilising evidence‑based practice to deliver enablement programmes; using a strength‑based approach to promote the individual’s independence.
Responsibilities
* Respond to critical needs and support discharge from hospital.
* Provide short‑term rehabilitation services and deliver enablement programmes.
* Set agreed goals and devise comprehensive intervention plans.
* Use clinical reasoning and evidence‑based practice to deliver strength‑based interventions.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Nurses, Social Workers, Physiotherapists.
* Support the development of personal and professional outcomes for patients.
Who are we looking for?
* Qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist.
* Strong strengths‑based approach to practice.
* Self‑motivated, compassionate, confident and able to work under pressure.
* Good relationship‑building skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced multi‑disciplinary environment.
* Right to work in the UK; no sponsorship offered.
* Must be available on Fridays as part of the standard 30‑hour weekly schedule.
