Computer Science Teacher – Guildford, Surrey Inspire the Next Generation of Coders and Innovators in a Top South East School, Start January 2026 We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and committed Computer Science Teacher to join the successful Technology or Computing faculty at a high-achieving secondary school/academy in Guildford, Surrey. This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position starting in January 2026 (or sooner). Computer Science Teacher required (Main/Upper Pay Scale) Full-time, Permanent position starting January 2026 High-achieving secondary school in Guildford Teach Computing across Key Stage 3 and Computer Science across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE/A-Level) The Opportunity The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Computer Science specialist dedicated to delivering engaging and rigorous lessons across the computing curriculum. This is an excellent opportunity to teach a subject with increasing importance and drive strong academic outcomes at GCSE and A-Level in a highly desirable, affluent area. This is a dedicated classroom teacher role within a supportive department. The school is committed to continuous staff development, offering excellent mentoring and CPD for all staff and pathways for those who aspire to take on future leadership responsibilities (TLR). The Computer Science faculty is highly valued, equipped with modern facilities, and offers a curriculum that encourages both creativity and analytical problem-solving. We Are Looking For: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). A proven track record as an excellent Computer Science Teacher, with the ability to confidently teach GCSE and A-Level Computer Science (or equivalent). Strong subject knowledge across key concepts, including programming (e.g., Python), data structures, algorithms, and theory. A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire high levels of engagement and computational thinking. A collaborative mindset, committed to contributing positively to departmental planning and technical development. Salary and Benefits Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for England (Excluding London) (currently £32,916 - £51,048 for 2025/2026).
