Deputy Head Greenkeeper Deputy Head Greenkeeper - Sutton Coldfield - £35,000 Benefits The Job: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Head Greenkeeper to join a prestigious championship golf venue in Sutton Coldfield. Working closely with the Head Greenkeeper, you will play a key role in the day to day management and maintenance of a renowned championship golf course, helping to deliver exceptional playing conditions and presentation standards throughout the year. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the daily management and maintenance of the golf course and surrounding grounds - Ensure the course consistently meets championship presentation and playing standards - Conduct regular inspections of greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, roughs and irrigation systems - Support the planning and delivery of aeration programmes, top dressing operations, turf renovation projects and seasonal maintenance activities - Monitor turf health and proactively identify and address potential issues - Supervise, motivate and support the greenkeeping team - Allocate daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard - Assist with the training and development of team members - Promote a positive and collaborative working environment - Ensure the safe and effective operation of maintenance machinery and equipment - Support compliance with health & safety legislation and industry best practice - Assist with irrigation system monitoring, maintenance and performance management The Company: Our client is one of the UK's leading golf, leisure and hospitality destinations, renowned for delivering exceptional standards across its facilities and customer experience.
