In this role, your days will be varied and dynamic. You will be responsible for both reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance, ensuring everything from building fabric to life safety systems—like fire alarms and emergency lighting—is kept to the highest standard. You will also play a key role in coordinating with external contractors and ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation. This role follows a shift pattern designed to meet the needs of the school throughout the year: Term Time: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm School Holidays: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Key Responsibilities Reactive Maintenance: Promptly handling repair requests and escalating complex issues to the Site Manager. Planned Inspections: Conducting regular checks on building infrastructure, furniture, and safety equipment. Compliance: Monitoring water temperatures, checking fire doors, and maintaining the asbestos register. Team Support: Assisting external contractors and maintaining all hand tools in safe working order.
