Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant

Salary: Hourly rate £13.68
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

We are looking for a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rochdale a place where teamwork is strong, relationships matter, and every child is encouraged to shine.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support learning and development at a crucial stage in children's education. You'll be working alongside experienced teachers and a friendly staff team who are passionate about providing the best possible start for every learner.
About the Role:
You will provide classroom support across Key Stage 1, assisting with phonics, reading, writing, maths and wider curriculum activities. You'll work 1:1 or with small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence, helping children to feel secure and engaged in the classroom.
The school has a nurturing approach, and you'll play a key role in supporting children's social and emotional development as well as their academic progress.
What We're Looking For:
✔ Experience working with children in KS1 or a similar setting
✔ Knowledge of early learning and phonics strategies (e.g., Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds)
✔ A calm, caring and encouraging presence in the classroom
✔ Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with both children and staff
✔ A positive, flexible attitude and a commitment to inclusion
✔ Willingness to learn and grow in a supportive environment
