TB Electrics are a family run business located in Warrington. We have been installing Solar PV systems for over 15 years and are NICEIC Approved Contractors as well as MCS certified. We pride ourselves on the quality of our workmanship, service, and the products we provide. We are looking for an office based solar designer, someone with a passion for renewable energy solutions. You will be collaborating with an experienced team, designing bespoke solar installations for domestic and commercial projects.
What type of person are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who has a keen interest in renewable energy, enjoys working in a fast paced environment and someone who is confident in delivering projects from enquiry through to completion. You would preferably have experience of using Open Solar or similar, but this is not essential. You will be confident speaking with clients on the phone and with face to face meetings on site visits. Training will be provided both in house and externally with existing product manufacturers.
Typical day-to-day activities will include:
* Dealing with new enquiries and designing both domestic and commercial solar projects, working as part of an internal design team.
* Using design software including Open Solar, PV Sol, and Solar Edge design tool.
* Consulting with new and existing clients, ensuring designs meet their requirements and following up with any technical questions in a timely manner.
* Liaising with and supporting senior colleagues on site surveys as required.
* Working alongside operations and installation teams to ensure projects run smoothly from beginning to end.
* Supporting customers and keeping them up to date with DNO applications linked to their solar projects.
* Follow up any existing proposals to ensure communication remains high and consistent and targets are met.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
* A degree level qualification in an engineering or science discipline or a suitable trade/non vocational background with appropriate electrical knowledge.
* A desire to work within the renewable energy sector.
* Experience in using solar specific design tools (not essential).
* Existing knowledge of the solar and renewable sector.
* An eye for detail and excellent critical thinking skills.
