Risk & Compliance Manager – Boutique Law Firm (Part-Time)
Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days in-office)
Working Pattern: 3 or 4 days per week
Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum
The Opportunity
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Risk & Compliance professional to join a highly regarded boutique law firm as a Risk & Compliance Manager. This part-time, standalone role is ideal for someone currently operating at Supervisor or Manager level who is ready to step up and take full ownership of the firm’s compliance function.
Working closely with leadership, you’ll play a key role in shaping the firm’s compliance strategy, supporting a collaborative and forward-thinking culture. This is a rare opportunity to combine technical expertise with genuine influence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the firm's primary advisor on all risk and compliance matters.
* Develop, implement, and refine internal compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks.
* Oversee client onboarding, including AML and CDD checks, ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Conduct internal audits and monitor ongoing regulatory risks.
* Provide strategic advice on risk management, SRA compliance, and regulatory developments.
* Partner with the leadership team to promote a strong culture of compliance throughout the firm.
* Mentor and coach junior team members, supporting their professional development.
About You
* Proven experience in a Risk & Compliance role within a law firm, ideally at Supervisor or Manager level.
* In-depth knowledge of SRA Standards & Regulations, AML legislation, GDPR, and broader law firm compliance requirements.
* Strong mentoring and team development skills; able to upskill others confidently.
* Highly organised, analytical, and proactive, with the ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
