About the role:
This role is offered to work from the office in Portsmouth, full time.
As a Caseworker you will:
13. Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse, delivering immediate support.
14. Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime who accept ongoing support, which will include providing resources, interventions, and information to all service users
15. Liaise and actively engage with other local providers to share information on the VS service offer and options for victims and survivors
16. Use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential records and contribute to monitoring information including the collection of outcomes
17. Working as part of a team with staff and the volunteer team to provide a seamless service to clients
You will need:
18. Understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their families
19. Effective verbal and written communication skills
20. Experience of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s)
21. Ability to balance competing needs and priorities
22. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
23. Experience of building effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders
24. Personal resilience to manage exposure to highly emotional or sensitive demands of the role
25. Ability to manage a caseload including complex case management
26. Ability to use generic IT applications competently.
