Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Inpatient Therapy Team assisting with the assessment and treatment of patients; working alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Assistant Practitioners at Yeovil district Hospital.
The post holder will be supported in their own professional development with supervision and training as well as encouraged to actively participate in the development of others.
The post is appropriate for both existing Rehabilitation Assistants and those seeking a development opportunity.
Main duties, tasks & skills required
Experience of working in a care setting would be advantageous but all necessary skills training, professional updates and mandatory training as appropriate to the post will be provided.

Essential
English and Maths GCSE to Grade C and above or equivalent
Experience

Experience of working in health or social care
Evidence of good communication skills
Experience of working within a Team
A passion for helping others
A clear understanding of the role of the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist
A good standard of literacy / English language skills, written and spoken
Able to demonstrate use of initiative and be able to be flexible and adaptable to the demands of the job
Desirable
Comprehensive experience working as a rehabilitation assistant or experience within the rehabilitation setting
Knowledge of equipment and aids
Comprehensive knowledge of working within the acute care setting
