Freelancer opportunity
We’re looking for a hands-on German Speaking Social Media Content Creator who can provide approximately 8 hours a week to support the creation and delivery of social-first content across multiple brands. This role sits at the intersection of content production and platform-native execution, ideal for someone who is confident behind the camera, comfortable editing short-form video, and organised when working across several client accounts at once.
You’ll work closely with Social Media Managers, Strategists, and Creatives to bring content calendars to life, support UGC creator partnerships, and produce timely, engaging content both in our studio and on location.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Production
* Film and edit short-form, social-first video content for TikTok within the studio and on location, including live teaser and reactive content
* Edit and repurpose existing footage into platform-optimised assets across multiple channels
* Support the creation of teaser, BTS, and trend-led content for live moments, launches, and campaigns
* Ensure all content is aligned with brand guidelines while remaining platform-native and culturally relevant
Content Planning & Support
* Support Social Media Managers in collating and maintaining content calendars across multiple client accounts
* Assist with organising content libraries, versioning, and usage rights
* Contribute creative ideas and formats to support always-on and campaign content plans
Collaboration & Workflow
* Work closely with Onyx internal teams including Social Media and Live Operations to ensure smooth content delivery
* Support fast-turnaround requests and reactive content needs in a dynamic agency environment
Skills & Experience
Essential
* Fluent German (spoken and written) and experience working with campaigns for the German market and fluency in German
* Experience creating and editing short-form video for social media (agency or brand side)
* Strong editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar
* Confident filming content on mobile and/or camera, both in studio and on location
* Good understanding of social platforms, trends, and content best practices (TikTok)
* Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple brands and priorities
* Clear, professional communication skills, particularly when working with clients
Desirable
* Familiarity with content calendar tools and asset management systems
* Basic understanding of analytics and what drives social performance
* Agency experience managing multiple clients
