Description Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen within HR Shared Services, we are seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to become part of our friendly and supportive team. We provide a range of HR services, including customer service, payroll, pay administration, and pensions administration, to staff in the Scottish Government and public bodies. In a busy operational environment, your support will ensure accurate and timely processing of salary and pension changes for approximately 17,000 staff. This is a dynamic and rewarding role in a fast-paced operational environment, where your contribution will directly support the accurate and timely processing of salary and pension changes. Responsibilities Process pay-impacting changes accurately and on time in line with our monthly payroll cycle. Maintain and update HR records, including employee and position data, with precision. Respond promptly and professionally to employee queries about pay, tax codes, pensions, and deductions. Complete quality assurance and key control tasks with care and attention to detail. Ensure HR records are up to date and managed in compliance with GDPR. Build expertise in HR policies and legislative entitlements to provide accurate guidance to customers. Support internal and external audits when required. Identify and suggest opportunities for process improvement. Actively contribute to a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
