The Role:
The successful Production Operative will be:
1. Operating the machinery in a safe working manner
2. Checking products for quality on the production line and removing defective items
3. Keeping machines supplied with packaging material and labels
4. Maintaining \ up keeping machinery by conducting regular pre- production checks
5. Reporting machinery faults to shift supervisors and maintenance staff
6. Setting up the production line and making periodic changes needed to manufacture different products.
7. Making minor adjustments to machine settings to improve quality and efficiency
8. Providing production support, again as required, to other factories/ departments
9. Keeping the machines and work area clean and tidy during the shift
Requirements for the Production Operative:
10. Medically fit to undertake the physical requirements of the job
11. Previous experience of automated manufacturing production line and operating systems
12. Adherence to and appreciation for H&S and general housekeeping standards
13. Ability to work quickly to meet deadlines
14. Reliable
15. Works well on own initiative and as part of a team
16. Patience to carry out repetitive tasks.
Hours of work:
17. Mon - Fri 4pm - 12 midnight
