Management Accountant
Location: Leeds / Hybrid - 3 days in the office
Salary & Benefits: £40,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + study support
Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a growing business based on the outskirts of Leeds. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you'll take full ownership of the management accounts process and provide high-quality financial insight to support strategic decision-making.
The Role:
As Management Accountant, you will:
* Take full ownership of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis.
* Manage prepayments, accruals, and ensure robust balance sheet reconciliations.
* Maintain the fixed asset register and monitor capital expenditure.
* Deliver accurate project reporting, ROI analysis, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
* Assist with VAT returns, payroll calculations, and commissions.
* Support audits, compliance, and drive process improvements across finance.
The Ideal Candidate
* Part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent experience.
* Strong technical knowledge of management accounting, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets.
* Proven experience in variance analysis, project accounting, and financial modelling.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across departments.
* Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
