HGV Class 1 Drivers – Newton Abbot Depot
We are currently recruiting class 1 drivers for temp to perm contract in our Newton Abbot depot. New pass Drivers welcome with previous class 2 experience.
This role includes delivering fresh, frozen and grocery products to local convenience stores, only 2-3 drops per load.
Location: Newton Abbot
Shift Pattern: Friday to Tuesday - Start between 05:00 to 07:00
Average hourly rate £15.61
Pay Rates:
* Mon–Fri: £13.69
* Sat and overtime: £16.43
* Sun: £20.54
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Delivering to local convenience stores (2–3 drops per load)
* Unloading into store warehouses (no manual handling)
* Driving within WTD and EU regulations
* Vehicle checks, prepping, and refuelling
* Providing excellent customer service on every round
What We’re Looking For:
* Valid DIGI and CPC card
* Reliable, enthusiastic, and organised individuals
* Willingness to work weekends
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Shift Details:
* Minimum 8 hours per shift
* 30-minute break deducted per shift
